ActorsE Chat with Kurt Kelly of Live Video Inc. Interviews the Beautiful Actress Anna Easteden

Anna Easteden stops into Pepper Jay Studios to chat with host, voice over extraordinaire, legendary radio and TV host Kurt Kelly. Anna was born in Finland where she grew up on her parent’s diary farm. She is bilingual, fluent in Finnish and English, she also speaks some Swedish and Japanese. She started speaking English at the age of eight, and caught the acting bug at nearly the same age. Anna, at a young age, began playing princesses around the house while wearing her mother’s clothes and acting out make believe plays. She was involved in her first production when she was seven. Before her career as an actress took off Anna took on modeling. At the age of twelve she started modeling professionally after relentless attempts to convince her parents to allow her to do so. Anna did a lot of runway modeling at fashion shows throughout Finland and abroad for reputable names in the industry such as Calvin Klein, Jockey, Ferragamo, and continues to get hired for modeling work till this day. She officially began acting in Chicago, she took acting classes there with writer, director, actor, and teacher Steven Ivcich at the Green Room Studio. Her first role was Princess Aurora in an Equity theater production of Sleeping Beauty with the Stuart Talent agency. All of her days dressing up in her mother’s clothes really paid off. In 2000 she drove from Chicago to California, and was hired by FOX to host the Argentinian version of the hit show Wipeout in Buenos Aires that airs on FOX in Finland as well. Anna has had roles in several episodes of television programs, Two and Half Men with Charlie Sheen, Anna explained to Kurt that she loved working with Sheen, he was very professional, personable, and she had a lovely experience. She also played a Russian mail order bride in an episode of the hit FOX show Bones and has had a role on the soap opera Days of Our Lives. Easteden is a quick study and offered hints on how to memorize scripts. She says to take the script, read one line at a time, put it away and try to internalize what each line means, then read it again out loud, and try to be relaxed when you read. Anna has also been on Marvel Comics creator Stan Lee’s “Who Wants to Be A Superhero” as an evil super villain named Bee Sting. She said the role was so much fun because she “never gets to be evil in real life.” She recently shot a pilot with director and writer Michael Patrick King who directed the Sex In the City movies and the CBS sitcom Two Broke Girls. Easteden also played Nicole Brown Simpson in a Japanese made for television film and had a lead role in a short film called Harmless, which won two awards at film festivals. Anna has also been in the process of pitching some ideas to several Finnish television markets as well. She has ideas for a reality show, a talk show, and a few scripted shows. Her favorite role was a character named Nina, in a feature film called The House of Branching Love, a story about a troubled couple that is in the mist of a divorce but neither of them can afford to move out on their own. Nina is a prostitute with a golden heart, who becomes the husband’s new girlfriend and the husband attempts to make his wife jealous with the beautiful Nina at his side.

Anna received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Toronto Film Festival in 2009 for her performance in the film. Aside from her work as a model, host, and actress, Anna has also worked with the United Nations on a legal research project on Asylum procedures for refugees of Slovakia.
