About Strasbourg International Film Festival We're a filmmaker friendly festival placing a strong emphasis on peer networking and long term contacts. Our free continental breakfasts, and filmmaker panels and after film Q&As are designed to inspire conversation and open communication between filmmakers and to give audiences the opportunity to get to know the people behind the films. SiFF places a high emphasis on communal education - allowing a space for filmmakers to learn from each other.

As most of our filmmakers are new and emerging we understand and embrace the opportunity to create an environment where filmmakers can learn from their peers what is working for them in terms of production, marketing, festivals and distribution. Our aim is to empower independent filmmakers and to help them along their path toward building a global audience and learning how best to meet achieve this goal.

Upcoming Deadline: Earlybird's Worm Deadline is October 22, 2009. There are two ways to submit your film. Directly through Strasbourg Int'l Film Festival. Directly through Withoutabox.com. Both submisions options are simple and straight-forward.

What we look for? Interesting films. Unique approaches and visions to filmmaking. Risk-takers. A willingness to push the boundaries. Selfishness. Selflessness. Love and passion for the art and craft of filmmaker. There is an incredible energy in the air at SiFF. It is delightful and inspiring. SiFF is proud and delighted to screen so many wonderful films made by incredibly talented new and emerging filmmakers from around the world! Our Goals To empower and mobilize indie filmmakers toward greater financial success and exposure by setting up venues and opportunities conducive with peer education, information sharing and networking. To bring greater awareness of independent film and the people who make them to both the local and global audience.
