Dear Kurt,

They often ask me how long I've been in voice over and how did I begin my journey.  Like almost everyone who considers themselves a professional in our end of the biz, I began somewhere else entirely.  It's almost like being at a party and looking for a script to read.  If you ask the question, "Is there a writer in the house?" stand back or you'll be trampled.  Amongst the former writers, dancers, would be producer/director types, and members of every guild imaginable, you have the base of what our voice over world stands on.

Actors, agents, managers, engineers who are now part of what makes our clock tick can delve back into all sorts of personal roads and happenings which lead them into the world I will be writing about.

Introducing my blog (journal).  I hope you will enjoy what I relate from my past as an actor, agent, manager, director, and most important of all, as an educator.  My goal is to help actors advance their careers and improve their lives by way of sharing in writing what I know to be a fact of our voice over lives in this community.

At Kalmenson & Kalmenson, we recognized many years ago, without actors, we have no business.  Actors and my years of experiences with them are what I intend sharing in my journal, which I hope will be educationally informative as well.  You will find it here: http://www.kalmensonvo.blogspot.com
